Job Brief:

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist with a chemical background to join our growing team at Novochem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sourcing raw materials for the construction chemicals industry and will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, cost optimization, and material availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure raw materials, particularly chemicals used in construction solutions (e.g., resins, additives).
• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor market trends and material availability to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborate with production team to ensure quality and compatibility of sourced materials.
• Manage procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in the supply chain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in the construction chemicals industry.
• Strong knowledge of chemical raw materials, international suppliers and their applications.
• Solid negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Preferably Odoo) and MS Office.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for chemical sourcing.
