Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new suppliers and ensuring that the purchased products and materials meet the required technical specifications
  • Negotiating purchase terms and evaluating the suppliers performances
  • Ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any supply issues or discrepancies
  • Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions
  • Ensuring that contracts terms and conditions are in line with Nagwa s policies and are written in legal form
  • Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and correcting shortcomings
  • Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records
  • Conducting market and product research and cost analysis
  • Coordinating with the requisitions department to obtain required administrative information and documents necessary for processing the procurement
  • Reviewing and updating the list of contracts and keeping track of their renewal dates
  • Searching for global suppliers for international purchases

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for liaising with vendors, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market intelligence, commodity trends, and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Proficiency with procurement software (like SAP or Oracle) and general office suites (like Microsoft Office) is expected.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and ensuring vendor compliance is a key requirement.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines is essential for success.
  • The ability to identify and evaluate potential suppliers to develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks in the procurement process, such as supplier issues or market volatility.
