Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will design, review and ensure the safe, efficient and compliant development of electrical systems within industrial service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and layouts for industrial and facility projects.
• Evaluate designs to ensure compliance with local and international safety codes and standards.
• Conduct technical evaluations and risk assessments of electrical designs to identify potential hazards.
• Integrate fire protection and safety systems into electrical designs as required.
• Collaborate with project teams to embed FLS requirements into facility electrical systems.
• Apply PF safety considerations where relevant in electrical system designs, particularly for maintenance access.
• Support installation teams by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues on-site.
• Perform design calculations, simulations and validation tests to ensure system performance and safety.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals.

Requirements

We are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design.
• Solid understanding of PF technology and its integration in engineering operations.
• Knowledge of Fire Fighting Engineering systems and how to integrate them into electrical layouts.
• Experience working with FLS requirements and ensuring compliance through design.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical and safety codes.
• Strong background in conducting technical risk assessments for electrical projects.
• Proficiency in using electrical design software.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
