Job Description

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports To: Procurement Manager 
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer with experience in the construction industry to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery by collaborating with vendors, engineers, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to determine material requirements.
* Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and subcontractors.
* Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) and analyze quotations for cost, quality, and delivery.
* Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to optimize cost savings.
* Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
* Coordinate with site teams to forecast procurement needs and avoid delays.
* Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
* Ensure materials and services meet project and company standards.
* Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.
* Assist in resolving vendor claims, delivery issues, or material non-conformities.
* Stay updated with market trends, price movements, and material availability.

Job Requirements

• * Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:
  Civil Engineering
  Mechanical Engineering
  Electrical Engineering
  * Construction Management
  Or a related engineering/technical field
  5-7 years of proven experience in procurement or purchasing within:
  Construction projects
  Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) companies
  Key Skills and Competencies
  * Strong knowledge of:
  * Construction materials and equipment
  * Local and international vendors suppliers
  * Procurement procedures
  * Contract terms 
  * Logistics and delivery coordination
  * Technical evaluation of supplier offers and quotations
  * Vendor assessment and qualification processes
  * ERP systems 
  * Microsoft Office

  * Strong negotiation and communication skills.
