Job Summary
The Organizational Development (OD) Consultant is responsible for assessing the organization’s structure, processes, and people practices, and designing effective OD interventions to improve performance, culture, and business results. The role partners closely with leadership and HR teams to identify gaps, implement solutions, and ensure continuous organizational growth and alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct organizational diagnostics (interviews, surveys, focus groups, workshops).
- Analyze organizational structures, workflows, culture, and performance gaps.
- Identify OD priorities aligned with business strategy.
- Develop OD strategies, frameworks, and improvement plans.
- Design organizational structures, job families, competencies, and workforce planning models.
- Support strategic planning initiatives and develop long-term development roadmaps.
- Develop and update HR policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Support the creation and improvement of SOPs across different functions.
- Design and implement performance management systems and KPIs.
- Develop change management plans and communication strategies.
- Facilitate change readiness workshops and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor change impact and adoption.
- Design competency frameworks and talent development programs.
- Conduct training needs assessments (TNA).
- Support leadership development, succession planning, and career pathing.
- Lead OD projects end-to-end (diagnosis → design → implementation → evaluation).
- Ensure timely delivery, proper documentation, and alignment with business goals.
- Manage cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
- Use HR analytics to measure the effectiveness of OD initiatives.
- Prepare OD dashboards, reports, and improvement recommendations.
- Track KPIs related to structure, culture, and performance.
Minimum Requirements
- MBA in HR, Strategic Management, or a related field is a must. and DBA is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications preferred (OD, HRBP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, Prosci, etc.).
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Organizational Development across multiple industries (manufacturing, services, retail, F&B, tech, etc.)
- Proven experience in designing and implementing OD frameworks, including organizational structure, job architecture, competency models, career pathing, and performance management systems.
- Strong capability in organizational assessment (diagnostics, surveys, interviews, focus groups).
- Advanced experience in change management, transformation projects, and cultural development initiatives.
- Strong consultation and client-handling skills including managing expectations, delivering presentations, pitching solutions, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in working with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent command of documentation, reporting, and policy writing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solid understanding of OD models and frameworks (McKinsey 7S, Burke–Litwin, ADKAR, etc.).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and workshop delivery skills.
