Job Description

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures in accordance with national and international standards.
• Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze infection trends within the hospital.
• Educate and train healthcare staff on infection prevention protocols, hand hygiene, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Perform audits and inspections of clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines.
• Investigate infection outbreaks, identify sources, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on infection rates, interventions, and outcomes.
• Advise on the selection and use of disinfectants, sterilization techniques, and waste management practices.
• Participate in the development and review of hospital policies related to infection prevention and control.
• Stay updated with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in infection control and integrate them into daily operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Microbiology, Science, or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in infection control or a related clinical role.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and collaborate with staff.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct surveillance, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to respond promptly and effectively to infection outbreaks and emergencies.
