Tourism Specialist - (Minimum 3 Years Experience)

Position Overview

The Travel & Tourism Specialist is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering outstanding travel services for clients, including holiday packages, corporate travel arrangements, and special tourism programs. The specialist ensures high-quality customer satisfaction, efficient travel planning, and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, and sell travel packages including flights, hotels, transportation, and tours.
• Handle inbound and outbound travel inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Manage reservations through GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre) and ensure accuracy of all bookings.
• Prepare customized itineraries tailored to client needs, preferences, and budgets.
• Maintain strong relationships with hotels, airlines, and suppliers to secure competitive rates.
• Provide clients with travel advice, destination guidance, visa requirements, and travel insurance options.
• Manage corporate accounts and coordinate business travel arrangements when required.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure high service satisfaction.
• Prepare travel reports, booking summaries, and follow up on payments.
• Stay updated on market trends, new destinations, seasonal offers, and competitor packages.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience in travel agencies, tour operations, or tourism services.
• Strong knowledge of travel destinations, hotel chains, and tourism attractions.
• Proficiency in one or more GDS systems (Amadeus/Galileo).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English (spoken & written); additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Diploma or degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or relevant field.
• Previous experience handling both corporate and leisure travel.
• Knowledge of visa processes and travel documentation.
