MaxAB is re-engineering Africa's informal retail sector through a B2B e-commerce and fintech super app. Since launching in 2018, we've connected over 150,000 traditional retailers with suppliers, delivering 2.5+ million orders across Egypt and Morocco. Our fintech business now generates more revenue than e-commerce, with over $180 million in sales last year. Following our merger with Wasoko, we're expanding across Sub-Saharan Africa.


We're now looking for Human Resources Business Partner supports the People function by aligning People initiatives with business objectives. This role ensures operational excellence across employee engagement, retention, performance management, People systems, hiring, and compliance for the assigned population.


What You’ll Do :

1. Employee Experience, Retention & Culture

  • Organize and execute employee engagement events, working with leadership to align initiatives with cultural objectives.
  • Conduct monthly group discussions per department, document findings, and recommend actionable cultural enhancements.
  • Conduct stay interviews per function monthly, ensuring diverse employee representation, and advising leadership on engagement strategies.
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain the exit interview tracker, identifying key trends for leadership.
  • Monitor attrition trends, proactively flagging risks, and recommending data-driven retention strategies.

2. Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition

  • Support developing HR analytics dashboards for business leaders.
  • Approve requisition forms, manage headcount planning, and support workforce discussions.

3.Performance Management

  • Ensure 100% of managers receive training before performance cycles, aligning with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Track and ensure 100% completion of performance reviews and objective setting, providing data insights for leadership teams.
  • Oversee and document the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process, working with managers on coaching strategies.

4.Talent Development & Succession Planning

  • Support succession planning, job rotation, and identifying future talents.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify critical roles and key talent pipelines.

5.Code of Conduct & Grievance Management

  • Ensure structured grievance handling, prioritizing cases, documenting investigations, and recommending procedural improvements.
  • Work with leadership to enhance compliance policies and disciplinary procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices.

6.People Systems

  • Conduct quarterly HR systems audits and ensure data accuracy.
  • Deliver HRIS training for all employees.
  • Drive HR systems adoption and track engagement trends.


What We’re Looking For

1- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

2 - (5-7) years of People experience , Blue Collar preferred .

3 - Experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or cultural
