Location: Zamalek

Type: Office-based

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct field surveys and research on artisans’ economic, social, and production conditions.
• Assess Fair Trade Egypt’s groups and projects, identifying technical, training, and equipment needs.
• Review and document artisans’ contracts, ensuring compliance with procurement and design protection.
• Manage operational tasks with producers in Cairo and other governorates.
• Follow up on development activities, trainings, and technical interventions; prepare monthly reports.
• Monitor orders and delayed samples, including field visits and internal coordination.
• Supervise and organize field trainings and logistics, including raw material purchases.
• Handle legal purchasing procedures for development and production.
• Document development and production activities through photos and videos.
• Support groups in sourcing raw materials when needed.

Qualifications:

• Relevant university degree.
• Minimum 2 years of fieldwork experience.
• Good knowledge of local Egyptian communities.
• Strong communication and adaptability skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related tools.
• Strong research skills (field and online).
• Willingness to travel across Egypt.

Offer Details:

• Three-month probation period.
• Company covers accommodation, transport, and meals during approved fieldwork.
• Workdays: Sunday–Thursday; two paid days off weekly.
• Compensatory leave is provided if working on days off.
