Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services. The ideal candidate will ensure that the procurement process is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s goals. The role involves working closely with internal departments to assess procurement needs, identify suppliers, manage contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

 

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, operations, production) to understand purchasing needs and establish procurement plans.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing decisions and drive cost savings.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
• Monitor the status of orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Manage inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure stock availability.
• Analyze procurement spending and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation and auditing of procurement processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
