The Capability Engineer analyzes business potentials and establishes new product capabilities. He/she performs economic and technical feasibility studies for new products, evaluates investments, sets up and leads project teams. He/she creates/improves production processes and works closely with other teams to ensure that TOP’s and business targets are fulfilled.Sounds interesting? Apply now!TasksThe Capability Engineer is responsible for:Establishing new product capability in LTME’s production and ensure fulfillment of TOP Creating and continuous improvement of LTME’s production processes Evaluating potential business cases for technical and economic feasibilityIdentifying and defining capability requirements in acc. with approved data and authority requirementsFunctional leading and coordinating project teams to obtain approvals for new capabilitiesMonitoring project progress and reporting results to managementAttending approval audits to obtain authority approvalEnsuring the communication flow within the project team and supporting departmentsEnsuring the coordination between LTME internal departments and external to LHT and third partiesRequirementsThe ideal Capability Engineer should meet the following requirements:University degree (e.g. aerospace, mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering)Min. 6 years of experience in aviation related MRO businessExcellent technical knowledgePractical background and hands-on mentalityHigh sense of accountability for assigned projectsProject management skillsExcellent knowledge of aviation authority regulation (e.g. EASA, GCAA, FAA)Good knowledge in business case analysis and feasibility studiesLeadership skills including cooperative approachPersuasive power as well as assertivenessExperience in lean production and change managementGood negotiation skills, ability to assert oneself and highly skilled team workerAbility to work under pressure and to take on responsibilitiesGood communication skillsBusiness fluent in English, German language desirableAdvanced computer knowledge (MS-Office, CAD)
