Job Description
BecTech is looking for two qualified Workshop Machinery Repair Technicians who are skilled in assessing and repairing workshop machines - lathes, presses, drills, mills, pipe-threaders, saws, etc. The work entails inspecting, maintaining, and repairing shop machinery, providing On-the-Job Training (OJT) to the local repair work force, and defining requirements for new and replacement machinery as applicable. Some CNC experience desired.Work will be performed under a US DoD contract for short-term, 2 x 30-day stints per year for three years and is performed in Saudi Arabia. Employment includes travel, accommodations, per diem, local transportation in addition to salary. Depending on the workload, additional trips may be necessary over the three year term of contract. There is no obligation to sign up for multiple trips. It is acceptable to only commit to trips one at a time. First trip starts after Thanksgiving and completes before Christmas.Task include:Inspect, maintain, and repair work shop machinery.Provide on-the-job training (OJT).During each visit, the technicians will meet with the Saudi Navy personnel to survey shops and define requirements for work shop improvements.After the initial assessment of shop equipment, the technicians shall provide a list of equipment that shall be procured, maintained, and repaired in support of the Saudi repair forces' work shop machinery.Determine what other equipment that will meet the needs of the Saudi repair work force.Install, checkout, and provide operator instruction and logistical support for new and rebuilt machinery.Define requirements for new and replacement machinery and propose a plan of action for subsequent visits.Technicians will coordinate with Prime contractor's in-country Project Manager for the accomplishment of the work.This opportunity requires travel to Saudi Arabia a minimum of twice per year for 24 days, plus some prep and follow-up time. Travel, lodging, in-country transportation, per diem will be provided. Work will be performed under a Foreign Military Sales case. Candidates must be technically qualified in machinery repair procedures and requirements. U.S., Canada, Australia, EU, citizenship required.
