Job Description & Summary

Lead Android engineering squads to deliver secure, scalable, and elegant mobile apps for enterprise clients. You will drive architecture, quality, and team capability while partnering with product, design, security, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture on Android (modular, clean architecture, DI, reactive patterns) and guide technical decisions across squads.
• Plan and deliver end-to-end engagements: estimation, resourcing, delivery governance, risk & dependency management.
• Establish engineering excellence (code review, coding standards, test strategy, performance, accessibility, observability).
• Champion mobile security (secure storage, SSL pinning, cert rotation, obfuscation, root detection, SAST/DAST).
• Build CI/CD with Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Gradle, Fastlane; automate quality gates and release pipelines (internal app stores/MDM).
• Mentor and performance-manage engineers; build hiring pipelines and upskilling paths aligned to PwC Professional.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (design, product, QA, cloud, integration) to land outcomes and client value.
• Engage with clients: translate business goals into technical roadmaps; run architecture reviews and demos.
• Own vendor/SDK governance (analytics, crash, feature flags, payments, identity).
• Drive continuous improvement and re-use (starter kits, skeletons, libraries, documentation).
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 8–12+ years total, 4+ years leading Android teams; proven delivery in complex, regulated or enterprise contexts.
• Expert Kotlin (and Java interoperability), Android Jetpack, Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Compose, Architecture Components, Room, WorkManager.
• Strong modularization, Gradle build optimization, dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger/Koin).
• Networking & offline strategies (gRPC/REST, WebSockets, caching, sync, conflict resolution).
• CI/CD at scale (Azure DevOps/Jenkins), distribution via Workspace ONE/Intune or equivalent.
