Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Office Manager with extensive experience in the woodworking industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all technical and operational activities within the office. This role involves overseeing projects from the design phase to implementation, ensuring the quality of materials, and applying the highest technical standards in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical team, including designers and engineers.
- Supervise the preparation of engineering drawings and technical plans for woodworking products.
- Monitor projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Select and specify the appropriate types of wood and finishing materials for each project.
- Ensure all processes comply with technical, quality, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during production or on-site.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide suitable technical solutions.
- Coordinate with production and procurement departments to ensure material availability.
- Prepare regular technical reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Applied Arts, specializing in Woodworking or a related field.
Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a managerial role within the woodworking industry.
Deep knowledge of various wood types, their properties, and modern woodworking techniques.
Proficiency in technical design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and other departments.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a plus.
- Residing in October City or its surrounding areas.
