Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and procedures that minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to acquire high-quality services and materials for maintenance projects.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance procedures and reduce costs.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations and staff.
  • Monitor equipment and systems to identify inefficiencies or potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
  • Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Production, Quality, Safety) to support operational goals.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions for recurring maintenance problems.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when necessary.
  • Train and evaluate maintenance technicians and staff.
  • Scheduling contractors for major repairs as required
  • Staying on-call and responding to emergency maintenance needs
  • Manage the budgets of the maintenance plans, and ensure that everything is in line with legal and safety regulations


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 8 to 12 years previous experience in same position.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment).
  • Understanding basic electrical concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment and experience with rotating equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience in dealing with budgets, schedules and reporting in terms of maintenance work
