Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
- Leading all aspects of operations independently as per the set company standards and managing the event, including set up, service delivery, and post-event closure
- People management and coordination of resources within the section, including people, assets, etc.
- To adopt a proactive approach to cost-efficiency to ensure targets are met in line with the budget, deliver efficient service, and smooth execution of the events within or outside.
- Serving customers in a manner that enhances the business and image of the facility to support customer satisfaction, sales growth, and maintain a professional rapport in order to have repeat business
- Ensuring compliance with government regulations, adhering to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
Manage Commercial / Business Development
- Maintain productivity, quality service, creativity, and innovation
- Manages and executes the event as per the approved event details, including setting appropriate work schedules in advance for the team
- Hands-on operation is very much needed, and close monitoring of tasks assigned to subordinates to ensure jobs are carried out
- Proactive approach to prepare presentations as per company guidelines, including presentation for sales department, pre-event brief/training presentation, and able to present in an innovative and engaging manner
- Maintain the event standards set while ensuring the budgetary cost aspects are in line
- Strong product and operational knowledge, along with information related to the events within the Department
- To upsell our products and services pertaining to our operation (mocktails, various beverages, etc.) during the Food Tastings and interaction with the guests in pre-event meetings
- To ensure the brand is showcased in all events with the necessary approved collaterals
Operations Management
- Manage, maintain and promote a culture of excellent customer service as per service standards
- Proactive approach to prepare presentations as per company guidelines, including presentation for sales department, pre-event brief/training presentation, and able to present in an innovative and engaging manner
- Perform and plan all other duties assigned by the Line Manager
- Assist other sections of VSM – Hospitality Operation whenever necessary, and maintain a good working relationship
Governance and Process Management
- Ensures that grooming standards and hygiene standards are practiced and implemented on the floor by self and the team
- Follow Hygiene and Food and Safety Procedures, including accountability for FIFO
- Accountable for preparing the Pre-event Configurator, Event Feedback, and other relevant reports in a timely manner
- Process and report all financial transactions as well as the P&L of the section, with a main focus on cost effectiveness and action as per set procedures.
- Reports all incidents/ accidents in accordance with established procedures
Organizational Management
- All business-related correspondence should be responded to within 48hours
- Collaborate with outside supplier/vendor (in coordination with P&C) to ensure the successful execution of the event as and when required
- Collaborate with the event contractors (stage builders, decoration, event management companies, etc.)
- Pro-active approach in getting necessary event details to execute a successful event, including but not limited to pre-event meetings, site visits, etc.
