Job Description
- Develop and implement acquisition strategies for upcoming contracts to align with organizational goals.
- Ensure all contract strategies, tenders, contracts, and variations comply fully with QP’s Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to Contracts Procedures and support Project Execution Procedures effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert on EPC contracts, managing the EPC Contractor in full alignment with contractual obligations.
- Review EPC contractor invoices and collaborate with Cost Control to prepare Progress Payment Certificates, forecasts, and assessments of extra cost requests.
- Conduct site surveys, system designs, and prepare technical specifications, presentations, and documentation to support project execution.
- Respond to contractor queries and establish a robust system to expedite responses to correspondence from the contractor and PMT.
- Oversee the comprehensive administration of project contracts, ensuring both parties fulfill their obligations transparently and audibly.
- Manage all internal reporting concerning commercial and contractual matters.
- Ensure clarity of project deliverables through effective handover meetings with internal teams (estimating, design, commercial, procurement, plant, operations) and monitor progress using defined KPIs.

- FIDIC Certified is a MUST
- Strong knowledge of General Conditions of Contract for Civil Works (GCC CW) and FIDIC Conditions of Contract (1999 Red and Yellow Books).
- Approximately 2–3 years of public procurement experience, complemented by 8–10 years of post-qualification experience with reputable consultancies, public bodies, or private sector companies, and holding a Civil Engineering degree from a recognized institute.
- An MBA or other advanced qualification in Contract Management is desirable.
- Experience in heavy-lift transport and RORO/barging engineering, including familiarity with hydraulic axles, prime movers, SPMTs, barges, and tugs.
- Proven ability to perform commercial and contractual responsibilities effectively.
- Skilled in preparing and compiling contract documentation and ensuring timely submission to the client prior to commencement of works.
