Job Description
The Telecom Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with clients in the telecommunications sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the telecom sector (operators, enterprise clients, government, etc.).
- Manage and grow assigned accounts by understanding customer needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Promote and sell telecom solutions including voice, data, network infrastructure, wireless solutions, and managed services.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and product demonstrations to clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet sales targets and margins.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and customize solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and account information in CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine strategies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and act as a point of contact for post-sales support and escalations.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in telecom sales or account management.
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies (Fiber, MPLS, IP, VoIP, Cloud, 5G, IoT, etc.).
- Proven track record in B2B sales and client relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proficiency in CRM tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with telecom operators or system integrators.
- Knowledge of government or enterprise procurement processes.
- Existing client network in the telecom or ICT sector.
