Job Description

  • Oversee the daily operations of the fleet maintenance department, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend fleet lifespan.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources and spare parts.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of fleet vehicles to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement to source quality parts and negotiate with vendors for best pricing and service.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using fleet management software.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, ensuring rapid resolution to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align fleet operations with overall business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
  • Proven experience in workshop management (Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a 
    similar role).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with workshop equipment and processes.
  • Understanding of quality control and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency.
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve operational challenges.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
